Psychologist (Provisional)
About
Dimi is a provisionally registered psychologist who is passionate about enriching the lives of those around him. He has years of experience in the mental health and engineering industries, where he utilised evidence-based practice and research in improving people’s quality of life in educational, professional, and personal settings.
Dimitar is a published journal author (peer-reviewed), and has shown great commitment to the discipline through his Class 1 Honours in Psychology, while in the process of finalising his Master in Psychology. He has most recently assisted people with a lived experience of mental health issues in developing the required skills and resilience to thrive in open-employment. He is an advocate of a person-centered approach to therapy, where the beliefs, values, and idiosyncrasies of each individual dictate the therapeutic journey.
Through active listening, empathy, and a collaborative approach, Dimitar creates a safe and non-judgemental space, empowering individuals to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours while facilitating positive change.
“My goal is to walk in your shoes. Understanding your worldview and the paths you have taken is at the center of every therapeutic relationship I build."
"I have a passion for helping parents understand how to get the best out of their children. Making complex Psychometric data meaningful for parents is something that led me to pursue postgraduate education in Psychology."
